Adams Rite locks are a popular choice for securing commercial and industrial properties across the UK. Known for their robust construction and innovative locking mechanisms, these locks are particularly favored for aluminium and glass doors, which are commonly found in offices, retail stores, and other commercial premises.
Cam plugs are used by Adams Rite handles and the 4700 series mortice latch cases. Adams Rite 4568 lever handles (https://www.duffells.com/adams-rite-4568-lever-handle.html) and 4591 paddle handles (https://www.duffells.com/adams-rite-4591-paddle-handle.html) are available with or without cam plugs.
Cam plugs are also available sparately (https://www.duffells.com/adams-rite-4580-reversible-cam-plug.html). All cam plugs, are supplied handed but can be reversed. Follow this guide on how to reverse them.
1. Remove the retainer circlip.
2. Pull the cam pivot pin out of the cam disc(do not remove the driver piece).
3. Turn the cam over and push the cam pivot pin through the cam and into the cam disc.
4. Snap the retainer clip into the groove on the cam pivot pin.
