.Remove the four Phillip's head screws which secure the forend of the strike.
.Lift off the silver forend. Lift off the black sub-cover.
.Lay the strike down on its side horizontally with latch towards the bottom and the two Phillip's screws which secure the Solenoid body side plate facing up.
.Remove the two Phillip's screws and lift off the side plate.
.Remove the silver latch arm on the right by simply lifting it off the pivot peg it is located on.
.Remove the blocking arm return spring by compressing it and lifting it clear.
.Remove the larger blocking arm by lifting it off of the pivot peg it is located on. (DO NOT LUBRICATE ANY COMPONENTS)
.Remove the brass coloured solenoid cover.
.Remove the solenoid from the solenoid cradle and lift it clear of the release, allow the wires to be pulled in through the hole in the side of the release body. Take care not to lose the long plunger rod running through the solenoid.
.Remove the gold solenoid cradle.
.Remove the small spring from the end of the solenoid cradle.
.Move spring to the opposite end of the solenoid cradle and place it into the receptacle hole.
.Replace the solenoid cradle into the housing and compress and seat the spring so that it pushes against the cradle.
.Replace the solenoid onto the cradle facing in the opposite direction to how it appeared originally (IE if the plunger was on the right, and wires on the left, the plunger will now be on the left, wires on the right. Ensure the plunger rod is seated so that the thin section is sitting in the bracket on the solenoid cradle).
.Feed the wires through the closest hole, making sure to route the cables so that they do not obstruct any moving parts.
16. Replace the brass coloured solenoid cover in the same as it was positioned originally.
.Replace the longer silver blocking arm onto the left hand peg on which it sits.
.Replace the blocking arm spring by compressing it and seating it in the cutaways on the blocking arm and housing.
.Replace the smaller latch arm on the right hand peg onto which it sits.
.With the metal arms and spring reinstated, replace the side plate and re-fit the 2 retaining screws taking care not to over tighten.
.Place sub cover back on face of strike.
.Place the faceplate on top of sub cover and re-fit the four larger Phillip's screws.
.Take care not to fully tighten the screws one at a time, instead apply pressure gradually to each screw in sequence until sufficiently tightened.
